They need to accept the facts, understand that training cannot be achieved overnight and must not be rushed. The child should overcome the psychological balance and properly manage the relationship between the child’s education and the parent’s work life. 

How can parents communicate with their autistic children?

Parents are important communication partners for their children and are an important medium for their children to reach out to society. Parents need to learn to communicate with their children and teach their children to communicate. If parents can teach their children some very basic communication methods, they can effectively reduce the occurrence of such behaviors. Specific strategies include:

1. Learning to observe the child's behavior and understand his or her needs and functions. 
2. Understanding what interests the child most and using it appropriately.
3. Learning behavioral intervention strategies that do not force the child to communicate. 
4. Learning some specialized communication skills, such as the Pictures exchange communication system (PECs), which is a very good communication tool.

How can parents help their child with autism deal with problem behaviors?

Due to a lack of communication skills, children with autism may use inappropriate behaviors to get attention, get what they want, or avoid what they don't want to do. As a parent, it is important to know how to respond to different problem behaviors so that they do not become an inappropriate form of communication for the child. It is important to intervene at the beginning of the problem behavior and not wait until the problem behavior has become a chronic problem or seriously hurtful.
